About the Ice Dragons

The Canberra Ice Dragons Dragon Boat Club is a diverse club which welcomes all paddlers, new or experienced, male, female and non-binary from any age group.  Regardless of what your reason is for joining the club, be it friendships, fitness or your drive to compete, there is something to suit everyone within the Ice Dragons club.  The Ice Dragons are a cohesive team who takes pride in its club spirit demonstrated by its competitiveness on the water and its social events & friendly nature on land.

The Canberra Ice Dragons Dragon Boat Club was formed in Canberra in 2003, and was founded on the success of a social Canberra dragon boat team.  The Club has a rich and enviable history of success in the sport of dragon boating in the ACT and region, nationally and internationally - the only club in Australia to twice be the Australian National Club Champions.  The Club is an incorporated association in the ACT and is governed by a strong Committee structure, and has an experienced & qualified Coaching Team and boat sweeps.

Dragon Boating is an exciting, fantastic team sport with a rich cultural history that is great fun too.  If you want to try Dragon Boating, the Ice Dragons is the club for you!
